Board Change Jamie Payne resigns

University & Community Federal Credit Union Announces Board Change.
Special thank you to Jamie Payne, UCFCU Board of Director, since 2007.

Effective April 16, 2020

Recently the Board of Directors of UCFCU accepted the resignation of long-standing board member, Jamie Payne. Payne began her volunteer role at the credit union on the supervisory committee in 2003 and joined the Board in 2007 where she brought experience from a variety of organizational settings including private, public and non-profit institutions. She has impacted the credit union, with her wealth of knowledge, in business, human resources, consumer habits and community impact. Payne has recently accepted an executive position with a metro-based Healthcare entity.

“Jamie, gave the board advanced notice she would relinquish her position on the University & Community FCU board, due to her new position and move outside of the UCFCU five-county charter region,” stated Becky Dilbeck, Chairperson of the Board. Payne’s advanced notice allowed the board time to present a replacement recommendation and take a vote at the April 16th, 2020 Board Meeting Executive Session.

“We wish Jamie the best of luck in her new role and will miss her greatly on the UCFCU Board. The forward-thinking impact she has contributed to our credit union has been exceptional and she will be greatly missed,” said Dilbeck.

The Board has selected current Supervisory Committee Chairperson, Lyle Eastman as the interim Board Member to fill Payne’s spot until the next annual meeting.

“We are extremely sorry to see Jamie Payne leave the UCFCU board, but are thrilled for her opportunity to impact over 10,000 employees she will be reaching in her new career,” said Daniel Thrasher, President/CEO University & Community Federal Credit Union.

“Jamie added so much value to our Board and will be greatly missed. It will be important for her to dedicate her time to her new position and her family and we understand that at the credit union. We wish Jamie the best of luck and thank her for her 17+ years of service she gave to our credit union.”

Dilbeck reported, “Lyle Eastman is our current Chairperson of the Supervisory Committee and he has been voted to fill the open Board seat until our next election slated for February 2021. Lyle has done an outstanding job on our Supervisory Committee and will add value to our board.”

Lyle will continue to serve as the Supervisory Committee Chairperson, and also maintain his new seat on the board. This change takes place immediately and Eastman will join the board at the May 2020 board meeting.
